Description
Planet Cash is a short experimental incremental game developed in Unity in less than one week, based on the theme of Overshoot Day. The project uses casino-inspired mechanics to explore the tension between economic growth and environmental sustainability.
Players earn money by spinning slot-machine wheels and reinvest their gains either to boost industrial efficiency or to restore ecological resources, creating a constant risk–reward balance between profit and planetary survival.
My role focused on back-end development, including the slot wheel logic, result interpretation, progression systems, and overall balancing. I also contributed to game design, defining the core loop and player choices, and handled the sound design, from voice recording and mixing to in-engine implementation.
Planet Cash showcases rapid prototyping, systemic thinking, and the use of incremental mechanics to deliver a meaningful gameplay experience.
